Mirka Dominguez-Salinas is the office administrator at Esperanza Law. She was born in Mexico and migrated to the US when she was six years old. She double majored in Bilingual Elementary Education and Interdisciplinary Studies at Southern Connecticut State University. After 2016, Mirka joined the fight in the immigrant rights movement as an organizer with CT Students for a Dream.
When she graduated from college, she joined Make the Road CT as their Hartford community organizer. She worked with primarily low income, immigrant women to fight for education equity in the schools . She also worked on rapid response and deportation defense with her members. This is where she came to know the difference that good quality and accessible legal representation could make in any case. She joined Esperanza Law to be able to facilitate access to legal representation for the community.
